About Lisa Phillips
Helping people navigate the complexities of relationships and interpersonal challenges has been my lifelong passion. After many years as a manager for the Walt Disney Company and later as an airfreight sales executive, I decided to use my public relations and management skills to focus more on people’s personal needs. While raising my children, I worked on a church staff as a Children’s Ministry Program Director, women’s ministry counselor, and public speaker on various issues relating to counseling and family life.
These diverse experiences shaped my understanding of human connections and ultimately inspired me to pursue my MA degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, where I graduated with honors. My practice is not limited to Christian clients, but I believe in addressing the spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical aspects of each person, with acceptance and compassion. Truly understanding someone requires addressing all aspects of their being.
Specialties:
My main interest lies in helping clients uncover and heal their deepest issues, which I believe is the key to real transformation and freedom. I work with couples, individuals, families, and teens who seek to transform their relationships or heal from trauma and life challenges.
I co-facilitate Gottman Marriage Retreats for active-duty military with my husband, Chris, a Clinical Psychologist. Together, we also teach classes on healthy identity, trauma, ADHD, post-concussive neurobiology, and social skills for adults on the Autism Spectrum. In addition, I served for three years as a regular speaker at Divorce Workshop Denver, helping people navigate and heal through the painful process of divorce.
I hold advanced training and certifications in:
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring Europe, visiting outdoor cafes, and discovering rare antiques with my husband Chris, our son Josh, and friends and family. I particularly love heading back to Colorado to visit our grown children and reconnect with the Rockies through skiing, camping, and hiking—usually accompanied by our yellow lab, Maddie.

Whether you’re an individual ready to break free from anxiety and confusion, or a couple yearning for intimacy and healing, change is not just possible—it’s within your grasp.
