At Truth Counseling, we believe that discovering and embracing the truth about yourself, your values, and your relationships leads to transformation, clarity, joy, and healing.
The inspiration behind our name Let’s face it—truth is a powerful word. We’ve all heard the saying, “The truth will set you free,” yet many people avoid the truth when faced with painful situations. We often fail to recognize the truth in our circumstances, our relationships, and even in ourselves. As Jack Nicholson famously shouted, “You can’t handle the truth!” But the reality is that running from our personal truths leaves us feeling isolated, lonely, and confused.
Deep down, we all long for truth, love, belonging, and happiness. However, avoiding the truth creates the opposite of what we desire, leading us to develop defense mechanisms to shield ourselves from pain. Embracing our personal truths is the first step toward lasting change, freeing us from depression and anxiety. Understanding the truths in our relationships is the foundation for meaningful and lasting improvements in marriages and other key connections. At Truth Counseling, we believe that you can handle the truth—and that facing it opens the door to transformation, clarity, joy, and healing. |
The meaning of our logo
Much like ‘Truth’ being a strong word, a tree with deep roots is a strong tree. Some of us might not have had a childhood that allowed us to develop a strong root system, but did you know that people can actually go back and heal developmentally and cognitively?
At Truth Counseling, we want to care for you as we help you prune away the dead branches and experience new growth. |
