Brenda Rogers
I am passionate about seeing people become the best they can be! I believe in the innate strengths and capacity of each person, couple, family, or group to discover their own unique vision, solutions, and purpose in life. As a counselor, I will come alongside you to create a safe
and supportive place for you to process your life challenges as you move towards meeting your personal wellness goals.
My service as a professional counselor comes after a twenty-year career in business and non-profit management. I also hold a B.S. degree in International Business and an M.A. in Counseling, and an M.A. in Global Leadership. Counseling is a natural extension of my life work coaching non-profit businesses on how to excel in meeting the needs of the people they serve. I have counseled and coached people from all walks of life, and have experience in national and international leadership coaching, with an emphasis in trauma, marginalized populations, and national disaster relief. I facilitated trauma-specific programing and building design for multiple organizations. I most recently served as Executive Director of Dream Centers Mary's Home, which is a long-term residential support and educational program for single-mother families exiting homelessness. I have worked as an EMT in an Emergency Room setting and in International Disaster Relief as a Chaplain. I also have certification as a State of Colorado Jail Chaplain, where I provided group and individual counseling for inmates.
As a mental health counselor, I now have the opportunity to sit with business professionals, first responders, active military personnel, couples, groups, and adolescents. Instead of working from a top-down approach, I love seeing how the healing my clients experience equips them to positively change their relationships, their families, and their communities.
I am trained and experienced in approaches that promote healthy thinking, emotions, and behaviors, while fostering meaning and purpose in life. My therapeutic modalities are scientifically proven to heal anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, couples conflict, post-traumatic stress, and other wellness challenges. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for post-traumatic stress and the Gottman Method, Level 1 and 2, for couples.
Counseling takes courage! I commend you for having the courage to seek out support and gain new hope, strength, and purpose in your life. I am committed to providing you with deep care, freedom from judgement, and the utmost respect, and I will provide you many new tools for becoming the best you can be. I invite you to reach out to me via email or phone to connect about your counseling goals and to plan a course of action together.
